Norske Skog (UK) Ltd was established in 1975, under the name of Norwegian Forest Products, with a modest staff of 3 enthusiastic people selling the Group's packaging grades and mechanical pulp. The volume was around 20,000 tonnes. Today, the main sales office, located in the hub of the city of London, within sight of St Paul's cathedral, is responsible for a volume of approximately 550,000 tonnes. Our staff have similarly grown to 19 people, 3 of whom are based at the flourishing regional office in Edinburgh.

Packaging and mechanical pulp grades are no longer part of the sales portfolio, and the volume products are, of course, newsprint and other mechanical publication papers such as SC and LWC. In newsprint, improved news and SC, Norske Skog (UK) has a significant market share, and the customer base includes well-known and prestigious publishers, some of whom purchase very large volumes. Norske Skog (UK) has traditionally also supplied the smaller user, particularly in Scotlandand Northern Ireland. There appears to be a world of difference between a major national publisher and a small local newspaper, but both need quality paper delivered on time! We aim to give the same levels of service to all our customers, no matter what their size.
