regMain Story:

The new Statoil logo
Statoil has re-designed its logo and now takes the form of a magenta star. This was inspired by
the nordic starry sky, which for generations has guided people seeking to cross new frontiers. With a guiding star as the symbol in the new company logo, Statoil wish to indicate its ambition to continue as pioneers on the Norwegian Continental shelf and to develop further their international assets. A guiding star is always strong and bright so it was a natural choice to choose a powerful colour for the symbol. It represents the energy in the light of the nordic skies, particularly at dusk and dawn.
